Hailed by The Boston Globe as a “radiant mezzo,” Stephanie Scarcella is originally from Wyoming and has proudly made New England her home since 2006.

Stephanie has performed as a soloist with a wide range of organizations, including the Hartford Symphony, Wyoming Symphony Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, Boston Lyric Opera, Odyssey Opera, Opera Company of Middlebury, St. Petersburg Opera, Connecticut Early Music Festival, Old North Festival Chorus of Marblehead, and the Treble Clef Choir of St. Patrick St. Anthony’s in Hartford. She has also presented solo vocal recitals and performed extensively in concert settings, including iconic stages such as Kresge Auditorium at MIT, Seiji Ozawa Hall and Koussevitzky Music Shed at Tanglewood, while teaching at the BUTI Summer Vocal Institute.

Stephanie’s concert and recital work spans Baroque to contemporary music, including:

  • Magnificat (Bach, Zelenka)

  • Messiah (Handel)

  • Great Organ Mass (Haydn)

  • Christmas Oratorio (Saint-Saëns’)

Her recitals have featured works such as Schumann’s Frauenliebe und Leben, Wolf’s Italienisches Liederbuch, Bernstein’s Peter Pan Songs, Bolcom’s Cabaret Songs, Almeida’s Brazilian Folk Songs, and Vaughan Williams’ Songs of Travel, among others. Stephanie earned her BM in Vocal Performance and MM in Opera from The Boston Conservatory. She was a New Orleans District Winner in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions and a Semi-Finalist in the Classical Singer Magazine Competition.

In addition to her music career, Stephanie works full-time in biotech operations and is growing her photography business: capturing portraits, personal milestones, and branding imagery throughout New England.

Her personal interests include yoga, CrossFit, gardening, travel, and furthering her fluency in Italian. She is proud to be a dual citizen with the USA and Italy.
