VOICE LESSONS

Are you looking to improve your singing technique and character interpretation? My teaching style focuses primarily on those coupled with mindset coaching to produce successful, consistent and enjoyable singing.

By now you've likely seen that I'm not a one-dimensional artist. I believe in the power of exploring one's strengths and interests as a way to build upon the others! Singing has always been my first love. After exploring the career ladder of an opera singer, I decided to shift to a correlating career with professional music endeavors being a part of my life, not the sole way to survive. Photography has always sat in the back of my mind just waiting to be explored. When singing came to a screeching halt in 2020 I utilized that time to learn digital photography. Once it all started clicking (did I mention I also *LOVE* puns?) I knew this medium was truly for me.

And, teaching. Considering that both of my parents were teachers, I have always found myself enjoying teaching in one way or another. My motto for my voice students is, "sing from the heart, not from the throat." In lessons we focus on building the healthy technique as the foundation - and once that is in place the artistry can truly come to life. I've also learned and coach my students to frame their thinking around what they WANT to happen, rather than dwelling on what isn't working. My studio has consisted of variety of students, from first time learners who sing in a children's chorale, to anyone preparing for auditions, whether it be for the high school musical or college, and even retirees who are looking to refine their hobby.
